To receive this award/recognition, individuals will:
- Have experience of caring and working with persons with dementia, e.g. as a family caregiver or volunteer
- Be a member of and show commitment to the local or national dementia organisation
- Work closely with related dementia care groups
- Demonstrate interest/show a commitment to developing skills in the area of dementia care by joining the development pathway to achieving a higher level of training in dementia care
