Fee models

The fees for our training accreditation

The following fees, in US dollars, apply to organisations, training bodies, training programmes and individuals seeking accreditation.

Please note that we are currently not accepting individual applications at this time but will be in the future.

A. Providers of dementia care training programmes

A ‘provider’ is a formal organisation with a sophisticated management and governance structure. Such examples include universities, higher education college/training colleges, medical centres, or health care institutes.

  1. Initial application fee: $1,200
    Payable to ADI with a completed application form by the ‘provider’ applying for accreditation.
  2. Pre-accreditation fee: $5,000
    Made payable to ADI upon confirmation by ADI that the applying organisation has been deemed eligible and accepted for accreditation. The organisation can then commence compiling the Evaluation Report for formal submission to the ADI Accreditation Board.
  3. Accreditation visit fee: $15,000
    Made payable to ADI by the applying organisation once dates for the accreditation visit have been confirmed. Payable 2 months (8 weeks) in advance of accreditation visit. Accreditation will be valid for 4 years.
  4. ADI accreditation membership annual fee
    Once accredited, the ‘provider’ will continue to be an accredited member of ADI and will be charged an annual fee of $4,000 
  5. Re-accreditation/visit fee: $12,000 
B. Outreach/standalone training programmes

‘Outreach/standalone’ training programmes not affiliated to a high level/formal ‘provider’ but may be associated with a dementia association, local health authority or equivalent (limited to organisations with less than US$5m annual turnover).

  1. Initial application fee: $600
    Made payable to ADI with a completed application form by the outreach/standalone programme.
  2. Pre-accreditation fee: $2,500
    Made payable to ADI upon confirmation by ADI that the programme has been deemed eligible and accepted for accreditation. The training programme can then commence compiling the Evaluation Report for formal submission to the ADI Accreditation Board.
  3. Accreditation visit fee: $9,000
    Made payable to ADI by the organisation once dates for the accreditation visit have been confirmed and payable 2 months (8 weeks) in advance of the visit. Accreditation will be valid for 4 years
  4. ADI accreditation membership annual fee:
    Once accredited, the programme will continue to be accredited by ADI and will be charged an annual fee of $2,500 
  5. Re-accreditation/visit fee: $8,000
C. Individual family caregivers or volunteers

Accreditation/acknowledgement of work undertaken by an individual family caregiver or volunteer, who can demonstrate interest or show a commitment to developing  skills in the area of dementia care and who intends to join the dementia care development pathway with the aim of achieving a higher level of training in dementia care.

These requests will be assessed on an individual basis with a combined application/accreditation fee of $1,500 (suggested minimum).

Annual renewal fee: $1,000

Expenses, such as accommodation, travel, subsistence for all members of the Regional Expert Panel, will be paid by those seeking accreditation as individuals.
