On the report and the World Health Assembly, ADI CEO, Paola Barbarino said

“Amongst the hubbub of the 77th World Health Assembly at World Health Organization. It is hard to make our voice heard amongst the thousands of other organisations like ours justly raising the profile of other health issues. And that is why every year we launch our important from Plan to Impact report charting the progress of the Global Dementia action plan from the onset. Sadly progress is stagnating, we have had new plans and promises of new plans but we have also seen some established plan expire without renewal.”

With just one year remaining until the estimated completion of the Global Action Plan, it is essential that it is renewed for a further 10-years to ensure that Member States achieve the targets to better support those living with dementia and carers all across the world.
