*Singapore* 1000 Cranes Campaign

The origami crane is a symbol of peace, love, hope, and healing during challenging times. In Japanese tradition, folding 1000 paper cranes gives one a chance to make a special wish come true, be blessed with happiness, eternal good luck, longevity, or even recovery from illness or injury.

Inspired by this, this World Alzheimer’s Month, the Crane is our symbol of hope for the dementia community.

Through our ‘1000 Cranes’ campaign, Dementia Singapore hopes to:

– Inspire hope, courage, and purpose among persons with dementia and their caregivers as they ride the ups and downs of their unique journeys.

– Engage 1000 donors to ‘adopt’ the origami cranes, lovingly folded by the dementia community, symbolising their support.

– Raise awareness about dementia, especially among youth and millennials, the ‘Caregivers of Tomorrow’.

As allies of the community, we can all play our part to support and stand with those impacted by dementia. Together, there are no limits to what we can accomplish.
