Dementia Lithuania has invited all organisations in Lithuania to contribute to the World Alzheimer’s Month programme by offering an event – an open day to introduce their organization to the public, a seminar, a workshop, a conference, etc.
The World Alzheimer Month programme in Lithuania includes the following events:
- A Conference “Post-diagnostic support in dementia care” on 21 September 2022, is oriented to explore the current support system for people living with dementia and their carers in Lithuania.
- Programme “Susitikimemuziejuje” on 24 September, which aims to create a access to museum programming for people living with dementia and their carers.
- “Reading Afternoon” – an event which aims to discuss the positive impact reading practice can have to support cognitive function in dementia care.
Buildings across Lithuania, including such cities as Šilutė, Druskininkai, Palanga, will be lit in purple.
