Risk Reduction of Cognitive Decline and Dementia

This webinar from Alzheimer's Disease International (ADI) and the World Health Organization (WHO) looks more in-depth at the WHO's new guidance on risk reduction of cognitive decline and dementia.

On 14 May 2019, the World Health Organization (WHO) launched new Guidelines on risk reduction of cognitive decline and dementia.

This report provides evidence-based recommendations on lifestyle behaviours and interventions to delay or prevent cognitive decline and dementia. In the absence of a disease-modifying treatment, risk reduction is one of the key areas where governments, health care systems and individuals can make a real difference.

ADI and WHO held a webinar on 21 June 2019 to provide an explanation of the WHO’s new guidelines by WHO staff and other experts involved in the development of the guidelines.
