Federación Mexicana de Alzheimer, A. C. (FEDMA)

The Asociación Mexicana de Alzheimer y Enfermedades Similares A.C. was founded in 1988, and became a member of ADI the same year. The Federación Mexicana de Alzheimer, A. C. (FEDMA) followed in 2002, bringing together the different associations which had developed in various parts of Mexico since 1988.

It currently has 20 affiliated associations, including 9 day care centres. There are 28 support groups, including a Spanish-speaking group based in Texas, USA.

FEDMA is also a member of Alzheimer Iberoamerica, which is made up of 20 associations across the Caribbean, Latin America and Spain, as well as a member of the STRiDE project.
