Asociación Grupo Ermita Alzheimer de Guatemala was founded by Sra. María Haydée Amézquita López in 1996 and became a member of ADI the same year.
The association is based in Guatemala City, Guatemala.
The organisation is proud of its Senior Care Diploma with Emphasis on Alzheimer’s and Related Diseases in partnership with Galileo University, as well as its Day Centre where they welcome people with dementia from 8am to 4pm, providing non-pharmacological therapies. It is also a respite centre for family members and carers.
Asociación Grupo Ermita Alzheimer de Guatemala is a member of Alzheimer Iberoamerica, which is made up of 20 associations across the Caribbean, Latin America and Spain.
