The Association of Alzheimer Indonesia was founded in 2000 and became Alzheimer’s Indonesia in 2013 thanks to DY Suharya, who is now Regional Director for the ADI Asia Pacific Regional Office. The association has been a member of ADI since 2009.
Alzheimer’s Indonesia headquarters are based in Jakarta, Indonesia. The association counts 21 chapters – 16 in Indonesia: Bali, Bandung, Bekasi, Bengkalis, Bogor, Depok, Jakarta, Lombok, Malang, Manado, Medan, Salatiga, Semarang, Solo, Surabaya, Yogyakarta; and 5 overseas: Doha (Qatar), Geneva (Switzerland), Gronigen (Netherlands), San Fransisco (USA) and Belfast (UK).
The association strives to raise awareness, promote youth engagement and deliver training (capacity building).
Alzheimer’s Indonesia is a member of the STRiDE Project.
