Alzheimer Scotland – Action on Dementia was founded in 1987 and has been a member of ADI since 1988.
The association is based in Edinburgh, Scotland. They have over 9,000 members, over 90,000 Dementia Friends and are supported by over 1,000 volunteers. They employ around 550 full and part-time staff, mainly in their service-provision projects across Scotland.
They also have Dementia Resource Centres in 21 different locations across Scotland. Those centres provide a safe and friendly environment for people with dementia and their carers to visit and take part in a wide variety of activity groups.
Alzheimer Scotland – Action on Dementia is also a member of Alzheimer Europe.
