Alzheimer Nederland

Alzheimer Nederland was founded by Henk ter Haar in 1984 and has been a member of ADI since 1989.

The association is based in Amersfoort, Netherlands.

Alzheimer Nederland enables research into the causes of dementia and prevention, cure, diagnostics and treatment of dementia. They have already invested over 39 million euros in 448 different scientific research projects.

They also care for people who are dealing with dementia right now. They provide support and information on their websites alzheimer-nederland.nl, with 2.5 million visitors a year and dementie.nl (their platform for caregivers) with 1.2 million visitors a year. People dealing with dementia and their families can also contact their Alzheimer telephone, their forum or visit their 250 Alzheimer Cafés across the country.

Alzheimer Nederland is also a member of Alzheimer Europe.
