The 74th World Health Assembly will take place 24 May – 1 June 2021.
The World Health Assembly is the decision making body of the World Health Organization (WHO). Delegates from every World Health Organization WHO Member State gather annually for the World Health Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland, where a specific health agenda remains the focus of the 8-day gathering. This year’s event will take place virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Other decisions take place during the World Health Assembly, including:
- The appointment of the Director General
- Reviewal of the programme budget
- Discussions over WHO policies
This year, ADI will launch it’s fourth From Plan to Impact report at a World Health Assembly side event on 26 May.
