Finance Assistant

We are looking for a part time Finance Assistant to join our team. They will support the General Manager with financial administration, including preparing payments, raising invoices, filling documents and updating CRM, dealing with payment queries and assisting with any tasks related to finance, office management and personnel issues.

This position is part time, equivalent of 2 days a week, with flexible hours. Based in London with flexibility to work from home. Salary £21,504 pro rata 0.4 FTE.

 

Background

ADI is the worldwide federation of Alzheimer associations which support people with dementia and their families. ADI was founded in 1984 and registered as a non-profit organisation in the USA. Based in London, ADI has been in official relations with the World Health Organization since 1996.

ADI’s vision is risk reduction, timely diagnosis, care and inclusion today, and cure tomorrow. ADI works by empowering Alzheimer associations to promote and offer care and support for people with dementia and their family carers, while working globally to focus attention on dementia and campaign for policy change from governments. ADI produces global socioeconomic information on dementia and publishes the World Alzheimer Report as well as a host of other publications. ADI is a federation that primarily works by empowering its member associations, taking into consideration their geographical and cultural diversity. Each of our members is a non-profit Alzheimer association supporting people with dementia and their care partners. Key tasks

Responsibilities include:

  • Processing payments for invoices, grants and expenses and dealing with related queries 
  • Acknowledging receipts and donations, and following up outstanding receivables, drafting correspondence as necessary 
  • Filing payments, receipts and other documents 
  • Preparing reports for management 

The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role, with good numeracy skills and attention to detail. They will have the ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt quickly.
