AL Oun Jordan Association for Alzheimer’s Disease- AJAAD

Al Oun Jordan Association for Alzheimer’s Disease (AJAAD) was established in 2020 as a non-profit charitable organization. It is registered with the Ministry of Social Development (Registration ID No. 420205676) under the Associations Law and operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Health. AJAAD has also been a full member of ADI since 2022.

The Association places strong emphasis on awareness campaigns and community activities throughout the year, particularly in recognition of World Alzheimer’s Month and World Alzheimer’s Day on 21 September. Its efforts aim to support individuals living with Dementia and their families, concur stigma and to alleviate the psychological, social, and financial burdens associated with the condition.

Mission

To raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease, support people living with dementia and their caregivers, advocate for their rights and needs, and contribute to establishing a national registry that helps quantify and address the burden of Alzheimer’s disease in Jordan.

The Association is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of seven members, elected from the General Assembly, who oversee and supervise the Association’s strategic direction, community initiatives, and activities. It has six committees that work collaboratively to achieve its vision and goals.
