End of Year Forecast: The diagnostics revolution; are we ready?

Hosted in collaboration with Edelman, the 2025 Forecast will explore global trends, challenges, and opportunities in dementia diagnostics, featuring a conversation with internationally renowned cognitive neurologist, clinical researcher, and educator, Dr Alireza Atri.

Building on the success of ADI’s inaugural End of Year Forecast in December 2024, the 2025 edition returns with timely insights into the global trends, challenges, and opportunities shaping the Alzheimer’s diagnostic landscape.

Hosted in collaboration with Edelman, this free hybrid event will feature a conversation between internationally renowned cognitive neurologist and Medical Director at the Banner Sun Health Research Institute, Dr Alireza Atri, and ADI CEO Paola Barbarino to explore this vital topic.

With the introduction of blood-based biomarkers, what implications are there for the diagnosis pathway? The potential for low-cost, less invasive and much earlier, including pre-symptomatic,  diagnosis is challenging our very definition of the condition. Alongside the science, this raises ethical, psychological and emotional questions. How will healthcare systems respond in terms of education, training and preparedness? Will it revolutionise clinical trial participation? What are the implications for specialists? How must scanning technologies respond? How must information provision, advice and support adapt to this new world?
