On Saturday 18 September 2021, The Gibraltar Alzheimer’s and Dementia Society (GADS) will be holding an Awareness Day Event on Main Street (opposite The Cathedral) to increase awareness, acceptance and understanding of dementia.
GADS will be supported by medical, health and social care professionals to engage with the general public, provide accurate information and offer advice and support to people living with dementia, their families and carers. There will be crafts and items made by Care Home residents (this year due to Covid-19 they will not be able to join the event).
The Tower of Homage will be lit in purple from 18 to 21 September, as well as Mount Alvernia Care Home, in support of people living with dementia and their families and carers.
