The UTOP (Ultra Trail des O’Plateaux) is a big trekking event held each year to promote both sport and tourism in the central highlands of Madagascar. Due to pandemic, the event has been postponed and will exceptionally be held during September, World Alzheimer’s Month.
Madagascar Alzheimer Masoandro Mody is taking this as an opportunity to raise awareness among participants, asking them to support people with dementia and their families, by wearing the purple awareness ribbon during the 3-day event.
Participants are kindly asked to take and share pictures of their involvement so that awareness raising can be spread widely on social media.
